If you are anything like me you have been glued to the latest fashions coming out of New York Fashion Week. I always feel so inspired after seeing a designers collection. Obviously I won’t be wearing anything right of the runway but you can always look for things that are similar and give off the same look for much less. By far my favorite 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection was Tom Ford. It was wearable, feminine, soft, and just plain GORGEOUS. Below are three of my favorite looks but if you want to see the whole runway collection click here.
I certainly can’t talk about designers without mentioning my absolute favorite for several seasons now. I love love everything that she designs. Joanna Ortiz’s Fall collection was noting short of sexy, sophisticated, and rich in color. The blood-red velvet throughout the collection was so eye-catching, especially paired back to a soft floral print Jacquard pant or skirt. I literally want everything in her collection.
Vogue.com says “Johanna Ortiz might not be a fashion label you’ll recognize, but her clothes are selling like hotcakes in department stores right now. The designer is something of a household name in her native Colombia, and in the past three years, she’s managed to take her brand of South American romance worldwide”

Alice + Olivia never disappoints. 2018 Spring Ready to wear was a color explosion. Primary color floral prints brightened up the collection and made a statement. I loved the mixing of the fabrics and patterns together. And right on trend, of course, with the ruffle bell bottom pants.

If you aren’t quite ready for spring viewing the Alice + Olivia Fall collection was amazing as well. There were gorgeous embroidery, sequins (who doesn’t love sequins!), fur, fun t-shirts. I mean there was something for everyone. Again, I great way to find inspiration in your own ward-robing. A simple t-shirt stating “Wild Child” paired back to an embroidered floor length skirt and this luxurious velvet jacket. I love the thigh highs with all of the mini skirts and dresses. I was nervous they would be gone this season, but fear not.

I absolutely can’t mention a runway collection without mentioning AKRIS. Albert Kriemler did not fall short of his usual brilliance this season. The unbelievable workmanship and quality of his art is superb. The lines are always clean and the fabrics are always the most luxurious. As Vogue says “They don’t call them investment pieces for nothing.”
