Summer is right around the corner! Thank god! Can’t wait for longer days, warm nights, the beach, and sun-kissed skin. Here are a few summer essentials I can’t live without.
My skin tans pretty easily but it can also be super pale until a couple of weeks of summer go by. To get me over the hump I use Rodan and Fields foaming self tanner. What I love about this tanner is it is lightweight and oil-free, easy to apply and dries quickly on your skin. This dual-action sunless tanner contains vitamins C and E to help nourish your skin and RF-Dcell technology to help extend the duration of the sunless tan. Its $26 and well worth every penny.
I use this product year-round however during the summer it becomes even more beautiful the tanner your skin gets. Its Laura Geller’s Illuminater in gilded honey. The illuminator applies like a sheer powder but feels like a cream. Applied right to your cheek bones it will light up your face and give you a natural glow.
I know everyone has tried an extended stay lip gloss or lip stick. Most are extremely drying and don’t actually stay on. Stila Stay all day liquid lipstick is my favorite. It comes in 24 matte colors and 2 shimmer colors. The colors are highly pigmented and deliver long-lasting coverage. It provides hydration, is super lightweight and it doesn’t bleed or transfer to the rest of your mouth. Enriched with vitamin E and avocado oil your lips never dry out.
I have definitely mentioned this item before, but it is worth me mentioning again. Rimmel scandeleyes mascara has a wide brush that allows you to get every lash in just a couple of strokes. The mascara is build-able so after the first coat you can go back and apply again to make your lashes even longer and thicker. The best part is it is so inexpensive, under $10. Sometimes you can even find it with a free black eyeliner attached.
I don’t know about you but I do a lot to my hair from blow drying, curling, straightening, brushing, etc. and sometimes it just needs some love. This leave in Keratin treatment works on all hair types to bring out its natural luster and manageability while also making hair stronger and healthier. I put a little in my hands when I get out of the shower and run it through the ends avoiding my scalp, then I style as normal. It also provides a protective layer from your heating tools.
Lucky for me my sister left this curling wand behind during Thanksgiving and I took it home with me. It literally is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair. First of all it heats up to 410 degrees, meaning you only need to leave your hair wrapped around the wand for a few seconds, saving LOTS of time. The loose curl literally last all day and even into the next day. I no longer blow dry my hair. After it air drys I just take big sections, wrap it around the wand and done! Plus its only $30!!!
